Ensembles and projects

Camerata Aboensis A vocal ensemble founded in 1992 by Lillhannus and a group of fellow university students. Mainly devoted to exploring the sacred polyphonic repertoire of the renaissance. Mats Lillhannus has directed the ensemble since the foundation. Website www.camerataaboensis.com.

Key Ensemble A chamber choir initiated by Lillhannus in 2004. Works with varying repertoires ranging from renaissance masterpieces to commissioned works. The current artistic director of the choir is Teemu Honkanen. Website www.keyensemble.fi.

Apollo's Noyse A new vocal ensemble with singers from Finland, the UK and Switzerland, founded as a result of the AVES course at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Premiere in september 2010.

I Fiorentini A duo concert programme together with recorder player Sunniva Fagerlund. Devoted to the music of the Trecento. Works by Francesco Landini, Jacopo da Bologna ao.

L’arte della monodia A duo concert programme together with theorbo and guitar player Mikko Ikäheimo. Early 17th century vocal compositions by Sigismondo d’India, Claudio Monteverdi, Andrea Falconieri ao.
